School Supply Lists

School Year 2017-18

Dear Families, we are excited to see you for another school year! Please read the supply lists and instructions below carefully for your student’s grade. If you have any questions, contact information for teachers can be found here.

K1

Please bring supplies by Tuesday, September 5.

  • Small blanket and small pillow for nap time
  • 1 change of clothes
  • 1 box of tissues
  • 1 container of cleaning spray
  • 1 paper towel roll

K2

Please provide your child with a backpack and the following supplies. These items will be shared by everyone in the classroom and used throughout the year.

  • 2 containers of disinfecting wipes
  • 2 rolls of paper towels
  • 1 pack of markers
  • 1 pack of crayons
  • 1 box of colored pencils
  • 1 package of 12 pencils
  • 2 boxes of tissues
  • 1 pack of 5 glue sticks

1st

Please bring supplies by Friday, September 8. Supplies will be shared in the classroom unless otherwise noted.

  • One pack of glue sticks and/or a bottle of white glue
  • One pack of pencils
  • One box of 24 crayons
  • One box of tissues
  • One pair of ear buds for using our classroom tablets (these will be for your child only)
  • One pack of black dry-erase markers
  • If your child’s last name is…
    • A-D— one box of washable markers
    • E-L— one roll of paper towels
    • M-Z— one container of disinfecting wipes
  • Regular size backpack (without wheels) brought to school every day. Please label it with your child’s name. If your child is a bus rider please make sure they have a bus tag as well.
  • Lunch box labeled with your child’s name for lunch and/or snack.
  • A spare set of clothing in case of accidents (in a bag labeled with your child’s name).

2nd

All materials will be used as community supplies, so please do not write names on items.  Students will not need pencil boxes, pencil bags, folders, or binders

  • 2 boxes of yellow pencils
  • 1 package of glue sticks
  • 1 container of disinfectant wipes
  • For those who will bring a lunch box, make sure it is clearly labeled with your child’s name.
  • Snack container clearly labeled with your child’s name (snack should be packed separately from lunch)
  • If your child’s last name is…
    • A-L— 1 roll of paper towels
    • M-Z— 1 box of markers
  • Optional to donate:
    • Healthy class snacks (graham crackers, pretzels, cheese-its) but *no nuts please*
    • Baby wipes (for hands)
    • Tissue Boxes
  • If your child is a bus rider please make sure they have a bus tag as well on the first day.

3rd

Please bring supplies by Friday, September 1.

  • One clearly labeled pencil case with
    • At least 3 sharpened pencils
    • Pencil top erasers for each pencil
    • One small manual pencil sharpener
  • 1 pair of ear buds or headphones for using our classroom tablets (these will be for your child only)
  • If your child is a bus rider please make sure they have a bus tag as well on the first day.
  • For those who will bring a lunch box, make sure it is clearly labeled with your child’s name.
  • Snack container clearly labeled with your child’s name (snack should be packed separately from lunch)
  • If your child’s last name is…
    • A-D— one box of dry-erase markers, washable markers, or colored pencils
    • E-L— one roll of paper towels
    • M-P— one container of disinfecting wipes
    • Q-Z— one box of tissues

4th

Please bring supplies by Friday, September 1.

  • One clearly labeled pencil case with
    • At least 3 sharpened pencils
    • Pencil top erasers for each pencil
    • One small manual pencil sharpener
    • 1 dry-erase marker
  • 1 backpack. If your child is a bus rider please make sure they have a bus tag as well on the first day.
  • For those who will bring a lunch box, make sure it is clearly labeled with your child’s name.
  • Snack container clearly labeled with your child’s name (snack should be packed separately from lunch)
  • If your child’s last name is…
    • A-D— one roll of paper towels
    • E-L— one box of thin washable markers
    • M-Z— one container of disinfecting wipes
  • An NHCS school/home communication folder will be provided at the beginning of the school year.

 

5th – 7th

Required items:

  • 1 sturdy 3-ring binder – minimum width 2.5 inches
  • 1 set of binder dividers (8 section tabs)
  • 1 pouch pencil case (with 3 holes for binder)
  • 3 packages of white lined paper with three hole punch (replace throughout the year)
  • 2 packs of index cards
  • Pens (black or dark blue only)
  • 2 dozen pencils (replace throughout the year)
  • 1 hand held pencil sharpener (with attachment to catch shavings)
  • 1 headphone or earphone set
  • 1 eraser
  • 1 glue stick
  • 1 box of colored pencils
  • 1 highlighter
  • 1 package of reinforcement stickers (the small donut shaped stickers that repair ripped pieces of loose-leaf paper)

Other recommended items for students’ at-home work spaces:

  • Ruler
  • Construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Calculator

  • Index Cards

** Students are required to come to school every day with:

  • homework planner
  • homework folder
  • binder
  • paper
  • pencils

These items are fundamental to your child’s success in school.  If during the course of the year your child loses or breaks these items, you must replace them immediately.

8th – 9th
